Center for Applied Physics has a status of the scientific organizational unit of  the University of Niš. Center for Applied Physics organizes scientific research  significant for the area of applied physics, supports education of young researchers and enables their involvement in the scientific work, provides application for and realization of various projects in this field to the science workers interested in working in the field of applied physics and gives suggestions  to the University Senate for defining scientific research programs and the University scientific project plans.

The Center also gathers staff engaged in  the implementation of research and development tasks of the Center, organizes scientific seminars, events and, cooperates with other centers for applied physics, organizations and unions with similar orientation on national  and international levels.
