The programme of the congress consists of a pre-course on improving student's research skills, three congress days and a post-congress tour. During the three congress days, ISCOMS offers students the opportunity to present their research at an international platform. On the last day of the congress a living donor liver transplantation from an adult to a child will be shown and explained by one of the top surgeons of the UMCG.

Furthermore, during the congress there will be several keynote lectures from world-renowned speakers including Laskard award winner 2016 and Nobel Prize winner 2019, Prof. Sir Peter J. Ratcliffe MD who will give a lecture about his research on oxygen sensing within cells. As well as Ellen Roche Ph.D., her research focuses on applying innovative technologies to the development of cardiac devices.

The first day of the congress will have the theme of nutrition. During this day several workshops, presentations, and keynote lectures will be connected to this theme.
